Maura Fitzgerald is an MPP candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
She spent the summer of 2014 working on domestic violence policy for the City of New Orleans’ Health Department. Prior to attending the Kennedy School, Maura researched West African immigrant communities in Paris and Barcelona, taught first grade at a public school in New Orleans, and, as a legal assistant at a San Francisco immigration law firm, helped more than 70 refugees fleeing persecution in their home countries win asylum and other relief in the United States. Maura received a BA in history from Yale. Her current research interests include migration, child welfare, and context-sensitive development in the U.S. and abroad.
