Hannah Schiff

Hannah Schiff serves as Senior Associate for the GIIN’s research team. In this role, she helps shape the GIIN’s research agenda and supports the development and delivery of research projects.

Recent studies Hannah has contributed to include Scaling Community Investing in the U.S., landscape reports on impact investing in South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, the JP Morgan-GIIN Annual Impact Investor Survey, and a study of the financial performance of private equity impact investing funds.

Before joining the GIIN, Hannah led research and strategy development for a start-up social impact consulting firm and spent several years managing and advising USAID-funded private-sector development programs in East Africa, South Asia, and Latin America. In these roles, Hannah has designed and implemented research on inclusive supply chain development, financial inclusion, and investment in women-led business. She holds an MA in International Business and Development Economics from The Fletcher School and a BA in International Relations from Brown University.
