Tamir Novotny is a member of Living Cities' Program Strategies Team, staffing critical efforts in neighborhood and regional development. In this capacity, Tamir manages Living Cities' Transit-Oriented Development Working Group, a group of foundations and financial institutions working to align their grantmaking, investment, knowledge and policy strategies in order to advance TOD nationally and in key regions. In addition, since 2007, he has managed a variety of efforts in affordable housing and community development, including a portfolio of recoverable grants to housing providers in the Gulf Coast, a five-million-dollar, ten-city pilot to test approaches to address the fallout of foreclosures in low-income communities, and supported other efforts including Living Cities' Neighborhood Stabilization Boot Camp in March of 2010. Tamir came to Living Cities in 2006 as an intern and joined the full time staff in 2007. Prior to his time at Living Cities, Tamir worked and volunteered in youth development with a focus on leadership development and organizing while completing his education. Tamir received a Masters in Public Administration from New York University in 2008 and a BA from NYU in 2006.
